What is a Learning Management System (LMS)
The creation of learning management systems has positively impacted the way students learn and collaborate with one another. Learning management systems give leaners access to content, web-based applications, email, video chat, discussion boards, assessments, calendars and many more tools (American College of Education, 2023). There are many learning management systems that exist and many of them share similar features; however, each learning management system has its own unique features and capabilities. The pandemic showed us that students and adults need to be able to work and collaborate with their peers/colleagues in a meaningful and productive way. In an age where more and more adults are working remotely, teaching student how to use learning management systems and collaboration tools will help them be successful in the future.
